The DINE-AROUND, Philadelphia’s 8th annual event.

We turn The Hub into “Club Hub” for Philadelphia’s 8th annual Hospitality DINE-AROUND. Its four samplings of Philadelphia’s Restaurant and Event Venues in a single evening.

This years chosen were, Davio’s stylish, upscale Northern Italian Steak house in Rittenhouse Row, The Palm a common meeting place for Philadelphia’s most influential, XIX Nineteen an airy, sophisticated cafe located in the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue and the Hub City View with amazing views, beautiful artwork unique lay outs and fantastic food from Culinary Concepts.

We chose to make it not only the last stop, but the one everyone would remember. With a gobo to announce the entrance into “Club Hub” where guests went under white ostrich plumed palm trees to reach the light up bar featuring the signature drink of the night…the Hubtini.

Made of Blue Coat Gin, one of the vendors featured there that night.bar-1.jpg

Circling around the Club Hub, arrays of food featuring Culinary Concepts, food fantasy’s of grilled pound cakes and grilled pennies. Guest were amazed at the fantastic florals we used to transform them all to our club scene.

candleabra.jpgWhen they finished the circle of the Hub, they entered our final distination.

An oasis of Moroccan decors. Lounge areas, tables decorated with florals of orange roses, avanda orchids and red hot chili peppers. Deemed “the hottest and coolest” by all.vedors.jpg

Charity Weekend

Philadelphia had many Charity Events the last weekend of April. We are still waiting for the feeling to come back to our fingers from all the work that we did.
Chef Aid

Easter Seals had a wonderful event at the Hyatt @ Penns Landing, with a '60's TV theme. Where we really lived though was at the Ritz Carlton from Friday to Sunday. Just to make things more fun was the Democratic Senators with a weekend confrence. The loading dock was so full, and everywhere were the Secret Service. The Staff at the RItz were outstanding and helped with everything they could. Wish all events went so well with all those types of obsticles.

Saturday was American Liver Foundations Gala, there colors blue and brown. Now, if you are a florist you know God did not give us much to choose from in those colors…However, thanks to blue orchids and delphiniums we pulled it off with style.

The next day was ChefAID 2006. A great gala, which deliver nourishment to people in our community living with HIV?AIDS or cancer. More than 300 guests attended this ultimate culinary extravaganza and raised over $ 100,00. to benefit MANNA.

The guests raved about the evening-prompting several of the attendees to exclaim" This was the best ChefAID yet!" One of the board members told us it was a "bench mark". Guest were treated to decors that reflected the purpose of MANNA.

Amazing Photo Shoot in Glen Fored

This past week we did our first photo shoot.

What is that…well, its where you put together a group of professionals and hope for some really good shots ofyour subject. This can be hampered by, weather, artistic ego, no shows, and about 99 other things… For a first try , we did great. And absolutely none of the above took place…whew.

We did a location scout, and settled on the Glen Fored on the Delaware. It holds a beautiful art gallery, and every inch is touched with turn of the Century architecture. You know that attention to detail that just amazes one. The grounds divine.

The photos are for an ad we are putting together as a group. There could be a book deal aswell, we shall see. The gowns were produced by Janelle Berte, who has the touch of romance and drama… hair and makeup by Cludia Seyler, decor by Jennifer Angelo Design.
